The Innovation & Design (ID) team is part of Chief Technology office of Motorola Solutions. ID partners with product development teams across all businesses from mobile computer and data capture devices to first responder radios. The team includes the disciplines of industrial design, user interaction design, design research. Our industrial design, user experience team work directly with development groups on product programs through the entire development process. This includes handheld products with both hardware and software UI challenges and web based tools used primarily for device deployment and management.
The ID team also puts a strong focus on new innovation programs. It works with divisions on new technologies and new market opportunities. Given the team's unique position in the CTO office the team plays a strategic role within Motorola Solutions.
We have opportunities in New York, Fort Lauderdale and Toronto.
Role:
Developing user flows/experience for both hardware and software interfaces
Work with industrial designers and engineers on the design and layout of the hard key interfaces
Work with software development teams on integrating software solutions on our mobile devices
Research partner and customer needs in developing software solutions for better integration to our mobile products
Develop innovative and consistent interactions throughout our product line.
Work closely with research team to validate keypad layouts and integration with software solutions.
