Location: New York City
The Manager, Content Strategy is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality of content on Teach For America's digital platforms, including teachforamerica.org. This person will help shape content strategy for critical areas of teachforamerica.org and other digital products, developing new copy and commissioning new photo, video, and graphics content as needed. The Manager, Content Strategy will also be responsible for everyday editorial tasks and will work closely with subject matter experts across and beyond the Marketing Communications team to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and cohesiveness of content across Teach For America's digital platforms.
The Manager, Content Strategy reports to the Managing Director, Content Strategy.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Contributing to the creation and management of an organization-wide digital style guide, including guidelines on tone, grammar, punctuation and organizational norms
Managing a pipeline of timely and relevant content to create an engaging user experience
Creating and maintaining site-wide editorial calendars and publishing cycles, defined in partnership with the Director, Content Strategy
Writing on-brand copy as needed
Reviewing and editing copy prior to publication
Providing support to colleagues across the Marketing Communications team regarding content strategy, writing, editing, and publishing
Working with other members of the Digital Product Development team to maintain and improve our content management system
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with a major in English, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
2 years experience developing and managing web content, from strategy to execution, including text, photo, graphics, and video
Project management experience, including a track record of managing multiple digital projects to successful completion
Strong interest in web best practices and knowledge of how websites work
Experience working in content management systems, ideally including Drupal
Experience creating and implementing SEO strategies

Ability to execute with a strong sense of possibility in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and independently
High sense of urgency with ability to drive results
