*Position Overview:*

The lead web designer is responsible for designing and developing standards compliant XHTML and CSS websites that meet client objectives. As the lead designer you will serve as a mentor to other team members including designers, programmers, internet marketing account managers and project managers. A key factor is coordinating the planning and design efforts with our search engine optimization and conversion improvement team.

*Job Requirements*

* Strong web design skills
* Advanced skills with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other industry-standard computer graphics software.
* A passion for web technology
* Well versed in usability best practices
* Ability to hand code standards compliant XHTML & CSS
* Has a proven process for developing and documenting site architecture.
* Effective at communicating with clients and fellow team members.
* Strong leadership qualities.

* Working knowledge of Flash, JavaScript, PHP & AJAX
* E-Commerce design experience
* Managerial operations experience
* Search Engine Optimization experience
* Pay Per Click Management experience
* Web Analytics experience (Google analytics, Omniture, Click Tracks, Web Trends)
* Google Optimizer multi-variant testing
* Usability testing experience
* Marketing and copywriting experience
