  <description>Keane is currently looking to hire an Information Architect to join our Management and Information Technology Consulting group. The position is a full time salaried role with benefits and has the potential for extensive travel. Candidates must live close to a major airport.

As the ideal candidate for this position you must have a deep understanding of usability design issues and extensive experience designing IA/software solutions for large scale websites and systems.
You must be able to produce designs that leverage previous learning and consider how seemingly disparate systems may work together to create efficiencies.
Ability to define interaction needs and communicate these through succinct deliverables is required. You must be comfortable working in diverse teams while facilitating the development of design solutions. Paramount, you must be comfortable working with system architects, data architects, business analysts, and project managers n teams that have direct C-level exposure.
In addition, you must be a frequent participant in the UX community. Organizations like the IA Institute, the UPA, and ACM are familiar to you. You can share an extensive list of people whose writings and blogs you follow and admire, and you can also represent yourself well in the community.
&#61607;	Manage contractors and partners as needed.
&#61607;	Perform expert reviews on concepts and wire frames and integrate this into the design process on an iterative basis by presenting the findings and suggesting changes where necessary.
&#61607;	Mentor offshore UX teams, both remotely and when they are landed in North America.

Work with the Director of User Experience to drive long term IA strategy and vision.
In this capacity:
&#61607;	Lead IA strategy implementation across websites and systems
&#61607;	Define reusable IA/user-interaction models/patterns
&#61607;	Mentor other team members (both regionally and internationally) on approach and strategy .

Qualifications
&#61607;	Minimum of a BS degree in Humanities, Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Design or related discipline required. Recommend MS degree.
&#61607;	Minimum of 7 years of UX experience in a consulting (preferred) or corporate environment required.
&#61607;	Proven experience translating business strategies into conceptual diagrams, task flows, and site maps using standardized tools and techniques required. Strong experience with Visio or OmniGraffle preferred.
&#61607;	Ability to lead high-level, cross-functional definition meetings that map out the user experience of new projects.
&#61607;	Experience managing information architecture or interaction design on large-scale projects required. Managing internal and contract employees essential.
&#61607;	Background in contextual inquiry, task analysis and some interaction design preferred.
