POSITION OVERVIEW
Adobe is seeking for an Experience Architect to work with the Adobe Consulting Team (AC) to design next-generation, rich client applications for strategic third-party engagements. A candidate's portfolio must demonstrate a broad depth of experience with emphasis on application, and user-interface design, while leveraging rich clients in innovative ways. The ideal candidate needs to be part interaction designer, part information architect, part usability expert, part business analyst, and all about user experience.
ROLE
Work with prospective clients on sales pitches. Help develop project plans. Work with clients and the AC team to translate business problems, and requirements into compelling UI's that demonstrate the power and value of the rich internet application experiences. Be able to do this both through direction and by doing design work yourself Lead the user interface design phases of product development projects, in coordination with visual designers and engineers. Develop usability protocols and moderate user studies. Conduct on-site client research. Create robust design documentation. Self-manage own tasks and schedules. Promote a positive environment for idea exploration and creativity. Up to 25% travel

CONSULTING
Experience Architects should be able to influence a customer towards Adobe technologies, towards
Adobe best-practices and towards Adobe Consulting methodologies. They should be able to steer a project to success, from discovery through to delivery supporting practice leadership and engagement managers providing accurate high-level estimates of projects, with the necessary caveats and approaches in place. They should be capable of running workshops, driving the necessary big picture thinking, documentation and being able to communicate these to the project and client teams. This would include being able to translate business and user requirements into innovative design solutions and, while not having to do every aspect of the design, being comfortable managing the whole design team.

SKILLS
Ten years working as a professional designer with a stunning portfolio full of out-of-the-box thinking. Seven or more years of information architecture or professional design experience. Two or more years managing or leading design teams. Keen understanding of usability principles and existing application frameworks. Excellent communication skills and ability to take strong leadership in a collaborative manner. Prior experience creating innovative and successful product interfaces and web applications

IDEAL
Application UI development experience. HCI, communications design, product design backgrounds preferred. Experience with Macromedia Flash and ActionScript. Mobile application design

PRACTICE & PERSONAL
Should have a highly visible role within the Practice and AC, making significant contributions - these could include project artifacts, whitepapers, brownbags. This would also include contributing to ACSPACE that capture project best practices & innovations that can be shared with others. EAs should have a presence within the larger design community through Blogs, Speaking engagements or mailing lists. Should be aware of emerging technologies & design trends and be evangelizing these back to the UX team, AC & providing input to the Product teams.
