Facebook is looking for an experienced Product Designer to be a key member in a very small team of designers. This position is part of the engineering organization so candidates must be able to write the code to build what they design. The position is full-time and reports to the Product Design Lead. The position is based in our main office in downtown Palo Alto, CA.
    
Responsibilities:   
Be at the intersection of product and engineering to prototype, design and build new features for an audience of millions;
Design and ship products of the highest quality with the clean consistent style that Facebook is known for;
Implement and extend the style guidelines with the rest of the design team
    
Requirements:    
Strong portfolio featuring interaction design samples;
Expertise in PHP, Unix, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX;
3+ years of experience building web or desktop applications;
Clear verbal communicator and detail oriented;
BS or BFA in any field
    
Bonus:    
Experience with user testing and complicated workflow design;
Portfolio includes self-started personal projects;
Solid taste in music a plus
